Never Underrate A Street Boy! – Genereux Philip.
And that’s what the story of Mr. Amin Sheikh proved.
Being the street kid himself and went through the struggles and challenges growing up, multiple jobs, he got an opportunity to travel Europe and was struck by the Café culture in Barcelona.
He wrote a book ‘Life Is Life – I Am Because of You‘ about his journey with a dream to own a Café in Mumbai and employ street children.
The dream did came true with support of all the folks/friends and the book he sold but was short lived as they lost their rented place because the landlord didn’t pay his dues to the bank.
They gathered their courage and reopned the Café to new place , doing what they do best, i.e cook amazing dishes and support the kids from Snehasadan orphanage.
Digging the cozy ambiance of the place .

The dishes you see, most of them are from the chefs around the world who contributed to their cause.
After hearing such a warm origin story , it was much time.
I normally start with a common food to test the restaurant’s ability. Here it was Grilled Chutney Sandwich and it really was the best chutney sandwich had in my life. No I’m not exaggerating.

As the Café was inspired from European region could see more Italian dishes and some with Indian touch to it, like the one I ordered , Spaghetti with Balle Balle sauce (chicken).
It was delicious with perfectly cooked spaghetti made in spicy version sauce. However it would be great to turn the hit of spiciness up a little in the sauce but you can tell them to do so.

Then going to the Italian roots, Alfredo Pasta (white sauce pasta with chicken). Yum another amazing dish with creamy cheesy smooth sauce.

And what goes along with it Cheese Garlic Bread and there they served the bread as bun with cheese in it! However I couldn’t finish all of it and packed the rest to much on it latter.

Paired the dishes with Malto Mojito mocktail with its citric taste helps as a palette cleanser too and refreshing Fresh Lime Soda with steel straws (very smart and environment friendly)

I did find the prices could be little on the lower side but with such quality and portion of food and the cause I won’t be complaining about it. It is worth it.
This was a wholesome experience and loved the customers are treated with so warmth by their staff. Kudos to them too.
Hope this Café does well and great to see the power of Humanity and Humility.
