Post lockdown resturant lunch couldn’t get any better than munching delicious food at Sorrentina by Foodhall
Restro inspired by Sorento, which in Southern Italy and is famous for its breads and Pizzas! Aabhas Mehotra the head chef, certainly have raised the bar with these dishes.
Let’s dive in shall we.
For appetizers we ordered PRAWNS PICCANTE which prawns mixed mixed with spicy marinara sauce served with their house-made sour dough bread. Although the not as spicy for our tastebuds but the flavor was good.
Now the main event for which I have been waiting for past 5 to 6 month pizza.
We ordered Pizza Pollo Arrabbiata. Its is a 10 inch pizza with Slow cooked chicken with Arrabbiata sauce ( garlic, spice mix , tomato). This was one of the best Pizzas I have tasted and I can’t get enough of that bread though. Soft enough to hold the toppings and at the end a bit charred. Loved every bite of this. Although wine would be great to pair with but currently they are in process for obtaining its license.
After this magical moment we had to taste Pasta. We ordered PENNE ARRABBIATA. Simple components penne, the marinara sauce and some spices/seasoning. We requested to make a bit spicy keeping in mind of the first dish and they delivered.
Well now that our Indian tastebuds are tingling with spices, we just got reason to order Tiramisu. Literally foodgasm, I’m so glad we ordered this.
Now comes multi dollar question What’s about the Safety! The staff was really hospitable and always kept distance between us while taking the orders, every table had sanitizer bottle, people are checked with temperature gun before entering the restaurant and they posted menu Online, you just have to scan the QR code. So with this all precautions taken, well the confidence grows and you can enjoy the meal.
